My daughter was very sickly as a little girl and had major stomach issues. We took her to every doctor around and even the children's hospital, yet no one could figure out what was wrong with her — until one day my father said:
“Shari, put her on a gluten free diet! Stop screwing around, and get her gluten free, soy free and dairy free.”
So I did. I saw that she was no longer lethargic, and her teachers were even calling with news that she was doing much better in school.
The transformation was mind-boggling, and that’s where Simply Shari’s was born.
My mission in starting this company was to make the best tasting cookies ever, using quality ingredients that just so happened to be gluten free. I started in the kitchen with chocolate chip cookies and from there grew into many other flavors. More and more, people have been saying that these are the best tasting cookies they've ever had. Even those without Celiac Disease or a gluten intolerance are hooked when they discover the lack of a weird aftertaste or strange textures commonly found in other gluten free foods.
Simply Shari’s cookies are certified gluten free and test below 5 parts per million (ppm) gluten, well below the FDA limits of 20 ppm. Our bakeries go through stringent training and inspection, and our practices are constantly reviewed to reduce risks of cross-contamination. This way we can ensure a safe gluten-free product for people with all different allergies to enjoy.
Our cookies are certified Kosher, Egg Free, Soy Free, and Nut Free. In 2016, we moved a step forward by reintroducing our products with new Non-GMO ingredients. Additionally, we turned to using real butter and said NO To Palm Oil that destroys our world's rainforests.
From humble beginnings baking for my daughter, to being in retail stores continent-wide, I am excited to continue bringing the best all-natural cookies to the marketplace.
